The Sanctuary was founded some 30 years ago and is still nurtured and protected by the founder. Not only that but you will also be able to involve yourself with the magnificent conservation work which is being done by your neighbors, including reforestation projects, the protection of wildlife and wilderness in the area, and the re-introduction of endangered Costa Rican wildlife species into the protected forests of the Sanctuary.

The seller also offers free advice on further landscaping, and will provide fruit trees and ornamentals FREE to enhance the gardens. The only requests the Seller makes is that the buyer avoids bringing domestic cats onto their property because, as natural hunters, they habitually destroy wildlife. For the same reason, dogs must be kept fenced in, to prevent harm to the plentiful wildlife in the area.

Also, the power lines leading to their new home must be either insulated or buried underground to ensure that the local monkeys ( there are large troops of both howler monkeys and capuchins ) and other arboreal wildlife ( kinkajous, anteaters, pizotes, raccoons, squirrels, etc. ) and birds do not get electrocuted as they move around the area. By the way, if you are adverse to noisy scarlet macaws then please do not consider this lot!
